alex gasparis is a jewelry and visual artist based in amsterdam. alex is fascinated in the process of deconstruction, and her practice involves researching the ways in which metal changes its state due to the manipulation of heat.

at the intersections of magic and earthly materials, she developed a technique which preserves the state of metal in flux from liquid to solid.

this research evolved into her sculptural practice with silver, the one of a kind jewelry collection entitled tears, where the material is brought to a point where the physical form of the object is no longer discernible.
